Editor biographies

Sonali Vyas has served as an academician and researcher

for around a decade. Currently, she is working as Assistant

Professor (Selection Grade) at University of Petroleum and

Energy Studies, Uttarakhand.

She has been awarded the National Distinguished Educator

Award 2021, instituted by the International Institute of orga­

nized Research, which is registered with the Ministry of

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.

She was also awarded the Best Academician of the Year

Award (Female) in the Global Education and Corporate Leadership Awards 2018.

Her research interests include blockchain, database virtualization, data min­

ing and big data analytics. She has authored an ample number of research papers,

articles and chapters in refereed journals/conference proceedings and books. She

authored a book on Smart Health Systems, published by Springer. She is also an

editor of Pervasive Computing: A Networking Perspective and Future Directions,

Springer Nature and Smart Farming Technologies for Sustainable Agricultural

Development, IGI Global. She acted as a guest editor in a special issue on Machine

Learning and Software Systems in Journal of Statistics & Management Systems

(Thomson Reuters). She is also a member of editorial boards and reviewer boards for

many reputed national and international journals.

She has also been a member of the organizing committee, national advisory board

and technical program committee at many international and national conferences,

and has chaired sessions at various reputed international and national conferences.

She is a professional member of CSI Technology Group, the Institute of Electrical

and Electronics Engineers, the Association for Computing Machinery-India, the

Institute for Engineering Research and Publication, International Association of

Engineers, the Internet Society, the Soft Computing Research Society and

International Journal of Engineering Research & Technology.

Vinod Kumar Shukla is currently working with Amity

University, Dubai, and United Arab Emirates in the capacity

of Associate Professor – Information Technology and Head

of Academics – Engineering Architecture Interior Design.

He has more than 14 years of experience. He completed his

PhD in the field of “Semantic Web and Ontology”. He is an

active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics

Engineers. He has published many research papers in vari­

ous reputed journals/conferences. He has also completed

the General Management Programme from the Indian Institute of Management

Ahmedabad (IIM-A). He is also a Cisco Certified Network Trainer. He has conducted
